the thing about...
choosing the perfect ring for my guy.
had so fun time not letting darling know about my surprise for him.
so i spend around an hour choosing the perfect rings for us.
quite difficult but finally settled with a limited edition piece.
i wanted something mature that has a little touch of gold.
i knew darling didn't like those normal sliver bands
that secondary school couples when in love for the first time, wear..
yada yada...
so something more elegant and mature...
to suit the both of us.
i can suit anytime of rings as my fingers are long...
BUT..
for darling,
his fingers are huge...
anything too elegant will SPOIL the whole thing.
so not letting him know..
this was how i chose his ring..
I'm a finger size 9.
i remembered the last time we bought the ring was 11 for him.
but i was very confident IT WAS NOT 11...
or maybe i was just remembering his fav. number is 11..
hahahahah!
cuz 11 is just so small!!
so the first step failed.
second step,
i asked the lady for a size that fits my thumb!
cuz darling's finger size is the size of my thumb with still loose space in between...
she then gave me size 15 and 17.
goodness!
2 sizes!
how to know which is then the one?
so this one also cannot really pass...
third step..
this has to be final,
and i must make sure it is darling's size.
i did the stack method.
cuz the previous time,
i was telling darling,
look at your ring!!
so big!!
my ring sits so nicely on top of you ring!!
*cuz his ring bigger ma, then i stack my small ring on top*
and my ring sits nicely on his size 17!
bwahahahah...
the gal was amazed by my method..
cuz she was telling me,
most girls who buy rings,
either come with their guy,
or shop with the guy's finger size.
but cuz not letting darling knew of his surprise,
i did the above methods..
which made her laughed.
the stacking method.
finally gotten one with the little diamond and the 18k plated gold.
so nice that my darling keeps looking at it.
=P
glad that i've made the right choice cuz i knew his taste.
but not becuz of that.
when shopping, kept thinking of him instead of me.
like this ring suits me! but not him leh.
this cut on him looks nicer, but he won't like it, cuz too chunky..
this one too simple, he will complain not worth it to get for that piece of metal.
anyways,
today is a LONG DAY...
darling's off day today..
BUT..
poor me...
i have tuition till 10 tonight.
ok, i'm going out.
